Voltex (Pty) Ltd is looking for a suitable candidate to fill the role of a Training Officer for their National Wholesale. This incumbent will be reporting to the Training, IR & OHS Manager.

The main function of this position is responsible for facilitating face-to-face training sessions and creating engaging content for our Learner Management System (LMS). The ideal candidate will have a passion for adult learning, excellent communication skills, and experience in instructional design.

Duties & Responsibilities
Face-to-Face Training

Facilitate face-to-face training sessions for employees, ensuring interactive and engaging learning experiences
Deliver training programs that meet the needs of the organization and employees
Encourage active participation, questions, and discussions during training sessions
Provide constructive feedback and support to employees during and after training

LMS Content Creation

Design, develop, and upload high-quality content to the LMS, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives
Create engaging multimedia content, including videos, animations, and interactive simulations
Ensure content is accessible, user-friendly, and compatible with various devices and browsers where applicable
Regularly update and refresh content to reflect changes in policies, procedures, and industry best practices

WSP/ATR and SETA

Liaise with relevant SETA regarding funding and reconciliation of funded programmes
Prepare, submit and monitor the Workplace Skills Plan
Prepare and apply for discretionary grants

General Responsibilities

Collaborate with subject matter experts to identify training needs and develop training programs
Conduct training needs assessments and analyse evaluation results to inform training programs
Maintain accurate records of training activities, including attendance, assessments, and evaluations
Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and new technologies to continuously improve training programs
Desired Experience & Qualification
Bachelor’s degree in Education, Training and Development, or a related field is a MUST
Minimum 3 years of experience in a training or facilitation role
Proven experience in instructional design and content creation for LMS
Proficiency in MS Office packages with specific reference to Excel, Sahrepoint and LMS platforms
Driver’s license and own vehicle.
