Description
Hire Resolve’s client, a leading solar energy company based in Cape Town, is seeking a skilled Rooftop Solar Installer to join their team. If you have experience in solar PV installation and a passion for renewable energy, this is an excellent opportunity to contribute to a sustainable future.
As a Rooftop Solar Installer, your primary responsibility will be to install solar PV systems on rooftops of residential and commercial properties. You will work closely with a team of professionals to ensure the highest level of safety, quality, and efficiency in all installations.
Responsibilities:
Plan and design PV system configurations based on customer needs and site conditions
Install solar modules, panels, and support structures according to industry standards and building codes
Connect and integrate PV systems with electrical components and the electrical grid
Perform system testing and commissioning to ensure proper functionality
Troubleshoot and resolve any issues with PV systems
Provide technical assistance and guidance to customers regarding system operation and maintenance
Adhere to all safety procedures and regulations while working at heights and with electrical equipment
Requirements:
Proven experience in solar PV installation, preferably with rooftop systems
Strong knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems
Proficiency in using hand and power tools
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Good communication and customer service skills
Valid driver’s license and ability to work at heights
Relevant certifications in solar PV installation and safety
