Introduction
Re-Solve Consulting (Pty) Ltd. is a prominent leader in the Water Engineering sector, specializing in Water Conservation and Water Demand Management. Established in 2005, we have a nationwide presence with eleven offices across the country. Our vibrant team of professionals is dedicated to implementing innovative solutions that promote sustainable water use and environmental conservation.
We are currently seeking a skilled plumber with a proven track record in municipal water infrastructure to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in installing, maintaining, and inspecting bulk meters and valves, including pressure reducing valves. Specific experience with leak detection will be advantageous.
Duties & Responsibilities
Your duties will include, but are not limited to, the following:
Collaborate with engineers and project managers to plan plumbing installations for bulk water services projects.
Review project specifications and drawings to understand the scope of work and materials required.
Install, repair, and maintain water systems, including pipes, valves (including pressure reducing valves), bulk meters, pumps, and fixtures, in accordance with construction drawings.
Conduct inspections of existing installations to ensure compliance with project specifications and regulations.
Perform pressure tests and leak detection to identify and address any issues promptly.
Diagnose and troubleshoot plumbing issues, such as leaks, blockages, and malfunctioning equipment.
Implement effective repair solutions to minimize downtime and disruptions.
Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe work environment.
Implement safety measures during plumbing installations to prevent accidents and injuries.
Coordinate with the Team Leader and Site Manager to source and order plumbing materials and equipment required for projects.
Ensure that materials are of the required quality and meet project specifications.
Maintain detailed records of plumbing installations, repairs, and maintenance activities.
Generate reports on work progress, materials used, and any deviations from the project plan.
Collaborate with project managers to update clients on plumbing-related progress and address any client concerns or requests.
Implement environmentally friendly plumbing practices, such as water conservation measures and the use of eco-friendly materials.
Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and sustainability goals.
Work closely with other tradespeople, including electricians, and civil engineers, to ensure seamless project execution.
Participate in project meetings and provide input on plumbing-related aspects.
Desired Experience & Qualification
Valid South African Driver’s License;
South African citizen or valid permit to work in South Africa;
Plumbing Trade Certificate or similar.
Minimum 2 years of relevant experience post qualification in the water sector;
