Mechanical Design Engineer – HVAC
Introduction
We are seeking a highly motivated Mechanical Design Engineer to join our client’s team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and developing HVAC systems for the underground mining sector. .

Duties & Responsibilities
• Conducting research and analysis to determine the feasibility, design, operation and performance of the HVAC systems.

• Developing detailed mechanical designs, including layouts, schematics and specifications.

• Utilizing computer-aided design (CAD) software to create and modify designs.

• Conducting onsite inspections and measurements to verify equipment and system requirements.

• Preparing technical reports, proposals and cost estimates.

• Providing technical support to the sales and project management teams.

• Collaborating with other engineers, architects and contractors to ensure that the systems are designed and installed to meet codes and standards

Desired Experience & Qualification
• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.

• At least 3 years of experience in mechanical design and engineering.

• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, including heating, ventilation and air conditioning.

• Proficient in the use of CAD software, such as AutoCAD, Revit or SolidWorks.

• Excellent communication, analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Strong organizational and time management skills.

Package & Remuneration
R600 000 CTC – R800 000 CTC per annum based on experience and qualifications
